Watkins Glen & Seneca Lake :: Photo Journal

Nature in all its glory.

Over the past year or so, hiking has become one of my favorite activities. There's nothing better than strapping on a backpack with a water bottle and a camera, and seeing waterfalls, foliage, open pastures, fallen over trees, and little critters. 


From the ages of 9-10, my family and I went on annual church retreats to the Poconos. During those upper elementary school "writer's workshops", I always wrote about the beauty of the water vapor mixing with fog, interrupted by tiny streams of sunlight, above a still lake on a chilly, late summer morning. The following photo kinda reminded me of that memory:
