Postcards from Egypt

While a direct flight from Newark to Cape Town exists, we found cheaper flights that allowed us to visit a few more places. Cairo, Egypt was the first stop in our very first journey to the African continent, the beginning of a 48-hour trip! 

Through Egypt Air, we were able to get a free transit visa and hotel night stay for our 17-hour layover. The process of doing so wasn't easy and riddled with culture shock, but it makes for a good story. Sleep-deprived, we were out of the airport and off on a day-tour of the Pyramids of Giza and the Grand Egyptian Museum within 1.5 hours of landing.

There will be many more photo journals to come from this trip, once we get through all the photo editing, a process that too easily gets put on the back-burner after spending all day working on the computer. They'll come at some point, though! For now, I'll leave you with a few recommendations:
