Budapest, a two-sided city (Buda and Pest) with the Danube River running through it, has been gaining more attention over the last few years, and for good reason. Its neo-Gothic architecture, solemn reminders of the fascist regime, museums, ruin pubs, and thermal baths will keep you crossing its many bridges trying to see it all.
We start off this five-part series on the west, the Buda side:
Matthias Church |
Fisherman's Bastion |
Buda Castle |
The Budapest Castle Hill Funicular (but you should really walk up). This photo costed me one concussion. |
View of the Pest side |
Széchenyi Chain Bridge |
The Hungarian Parliament |
Rock Church (Gellért Hill Cave) |
Gellért Spa |
