2ne2 Things (I'd Tell My Younger Self)

To 12 year old Han:

1. The picture's probably not clear to you now and it probably won't be for a while, but that's okay.

2. Emotions aren't inherently bad. In fact, feelings are gifts. Recognize that they may not be truthful, but know that they are real. Feel, mourn, meditate... then move.

3. Eat - without fear, with gratitude.

4. You can't be self-sufficient. You never will be.

5. It's your seas that ebb and flow, not your Rock.

6. If what you're holding callouses you, let it go.

7. Strength can manifest through quietness. You don't have to be loud to be heard.

8. You will never regret being kind.

9. You can honor your parents by accepting their help.

10. Who told you that?

11. Mom and Dad paid a lot for those braces. Smile as much as you can.

12. Transform every anxious thought, fear, sinful desire into a conversation with God.

13. Don't apologize for solo-adventuring.

14. Wait. Just wait. It's so worth it, and in the mean time, keep your heart soft, backbone strong, and mind sharp.

15. Strive for a living room-sized heart where everyone feels welcomed to plop on a couch and share stories, sing songs.

16. It's true, the most direct route is a straight line... but life hardly acts that way.

17. You have a tendency to judge too quickly. Always give people the benefit of the doubt.

18. Sometimes it's worth keeping that space in your heart vacant. You never know how He's gonna fill it up.

19. The obedient attitude of "I will follow" is a response to the confident assurance of "I will never leave you nor forsake you."

20. The heart must pump blood to itself before it provides for the rest of the body.

21. It's hard to accept that people and places move on without you.

22. "Home" doesn't have to be the comfort of where you've been and who you know. Maybe it's built where you're going.
