Christmas Oatmeal

It's supposed to snow later on today ---let the holiday season BEGIN! ;)

It's weird how Christmas comes earlier and earlier every year, but you know what? The holiday cheer, the twinkly lights, the smell of gingerbread and eggnog everywhere seem to make everyone happier, so I'm not gonna complain. The world could use a whole lot more peace and happiness, especially with all the riots going on right now.

In addition to the lovely decorations and holiday songs, I love the food that comes around: warm, sweet, sticky everything.
No one likes the "holiday weight" that comes with enjoying the holiday food, so here's a healthy oatmeal pairing that looks
Christmas-ey and kinda tastes like Christmas too, in my opinion:

Recipe: Christmas Oatmeal

1/4 cup of oatmeal, cooked in 1/2 cup of almond milk (i prefer almond milk to water)
cinnamon (as much as you want)
coconut flakes (i used sweetened)
dried cherries or cranberries (i like cherries better)
chopped walnuts
1 banana, sliced


1. Mix everything in ;)
