Smoked Salmon - Avocado Sushi Roll


what is that? why a sushi making station, of course.

i watched this video and now i feel like a total pro (not really, you should have seen how difficult it was for me to cut the individual sushi pieces!)



Recipe: Smoked Salmon - Avocado Roll

cooked rice (slightly cooled)
bowl of cold water
1 avocado, sliced thinly
smoked salmon
seaweed/nori sheets
furikake seasoning / sesame seeds
soy sauce
(opt: sesame oil, sushi vinegar)

0. (opt.) mix the rice with a little bit of sushi vinegar
1. Spread the rice evenly over one side of the seaweed paper; wet your hands if the rice is too sticky
2. Flip it over so that the rice is facing down (helps if you have cling wrap on the other side so that the rice doesn't stick to everything)
3. Lay on your filling (as much or as little as you'd like)
4. Roll the sushi roll up; if you want you can lay some thinly avocado slices on top
5. Keep the cling film wrapped around the sushi roll as you cut into it (helps but you can just cut it as is)
6. Sprinkle over some furikake / sesame seeds
7. Serve :)
